> The Eiffel Tower
Tour Eiffel, built for the World Exhibition in 1889, is the tallest building in Paris. Initially counted more than 312 meters in height, since the year 2000, after mounting the antenna, its height grew to 324 meters. The weight of this impressive steel structure is approximately 10,000 tonnes. Despite the colloquial name, the tower is by no means the work of Gustave Eiffel, but his staff: Maurice Koechlina and Emile Nouguiera.
